Mechanical Movement - PINE CONES (alexandra) - Mid Term

- Multilayered system.
- Do we need to think about the orientation, the context: to study the position in the tree, to find a logic about the position.
- To find a program and a scale.
- Much more complex than open/close: some panels may be sun panels, others rain system.
- The inside function may influences the outside reaction of the panels.
- Maybe it’s a house having a changeable system.
- To take a metaphor and put more complexity, to transform to a building.
- How that can be useful in an existing building.
- To explore if maybe there is one material adapted to the structure.
- How can we change the interior?
- Graffiti: some panels may react to paint :)

Comments:

- input and output of the project, interesting anlysis, more conclusions
-the scale of the analysis: should tell conclusions about it
-example: it happens in the internet, one hole appears-new connections
-how to organise books in library system?
-the shape is not important; important is how you connect information - distribution
-understand a library! what was - what will be
-first of all organisational issue
-new connectivity, beyond physical
-ex. of distribution: National Library of Germany , Frankfurt
-system of distribution and flow : not a building
-ex. of flexibility : OMA's Seatle Library
-idea - fix problems otherwise time will flow it away
-distribution of information
-how the media can communicate the other information ( like books) to guide people
